An Ode to Mr. T.P. Top - the poor guy hasn't gotten any love on the Christmas blog so I thought I would take the time to sit down and interview Tippy. Hopefully you'll see a side of him that you haven't seen yet and he'll reveal his grooming techniques, holiday plans, and New Year's resolution.
Straight Eye for the Queer Guy - I've mentioned this before, and now it is time to actually do it. I'll photograph and comment on all of Mom's Christmas vignettes and give them a proper grade. Here's what you can expect.
Thilo Family Christmas Tree - Grade:B
A delightful tree that is decorated in the old-fashioned nuevo. High marks for it being stolen and its height. I would have given it higher scores had Mom decorated it with her antique ornaments or had I actually participated in the cutting of the tree. Last year's set the standard in my book, but nevertheless, a good effort from Mom and Dad. Bonus points would have been given for better tree placement (Little Lake Place) and additional gifts under the tree for the judge.

I was wondering when Teapot would make an appearance. The tree looks *click* really nice. It's like a Thai woman... very slender, but with a Thilo twist... very tall (as I am constantly reminded by people who are barely 5'). I look forward to the upcoming posts. You've piqued my curiosity about a forthcoming guest post!
As for me, my main mission this weekend is to make it to Bangkok and stock up on international calling cards so I'm prepared for Tuesday! Maybe I'll even find a Starbucks in the big city, close my eyes for just a minute, and pretend I'm home for the holidays. Sigh...
