Of course we're all terribly proud of Nick winning an Academy Award. But - with all modesty aside - I was reminded of one of my own personal honors - pictured for all of you in this holiday blog. I won the 1987 Breckenfelder Easter Contest for Best Cookbook Cover Design and happily accepted this award. Now that I think about it, Nick competed in this contest 20 years ago. So I guess you could say I beat an Academy Award Winner.

Hmmmm...if I remember correctly...Mom, you haven't finished that cookbook yet. Not to be mean, but record setting crowds have been afforded the opportunity to see Nick's Academy
Award earning work...I personally would LOVE a copy of the family cookbook!! Love, Sarah
And I would love to have any recipes. Too bad everyone keeps all the good ones under lock and key. Or, more specifically, in the safe.
